FY 2013 House Budget Resolution
Discretionary Spending under Budget Resolution (in billions of dollars)
On March 29, 2012, the House of Representatives passed its FY 2013 budget resolution, which lays out the chamber's spending plans over the next deacade. The sequestration process mandated by the Budget Control Act (BCA; P.L. 112-25) is replaced with cuts to nondefense discretionary and mandatory spending. The following graph compares total federal spending in FY 2012 to the budget resolution's total federal spending through FY 2022 in three categories: naitonal defense, the global war on terrorism, and nondefense.
